Request for Information: New Method of Supply for Software (accessible to federal
government employees only).
* The document available on this site is for use by the Government of Canada.
Non-Government entities should download the Request for Information at MERX.com.
The Software Licensing Division is responsible for the procurement of software and related services for the federal government.
For government client departments, this site is designed to provide information about how to procure software and related services. The DISO list of deliverables pages offer pricing information, contact information and licensing and service terms of agreements for each vendor that has a Departmental Individual Standing Offer with PWGSC.
The Software Information Portal includes a Software Procurement Acquisition Resource Catalogue that lists software products for vendors with or without DISO's, sorted by category.
For those interested information on how to list software products in a Government licensed end-user network catalogue can link through the Software Information Portal. For government users access to the catalogue can also be gained through the SARC Government Licensed End-user Network. Industry users will also be interested in the link to MERX http://www.merx.com/ for opportunities to bid on Requests for Proposal and other software related notices.
With fiscal year end rapidly approaching, the Software and Shared Systems Procurement Directorate (SSSPD) would like to remind all Client Departments to submit fully funded 9200/942 Requisitions to Central Allocations Unit (CAU). Requisitions should be sent as soon as possible in order to minimize delays, avoid disruption to maintenance and support services deemed "operationally necessary", and to allow PWGSC to have sufficient time to address procurement issues with specific suppliers.
The following cut-off dates are applicable for sole source requirements to be contracted prior to fiscal year end only. Please ensure requisitions include all necessary documentation (Sole-Source and Limited Tendering Certificate, complete answers to Treasury Board 7 Questions, etc.) or this will delay the acquisition process.
| Value of Requirement | Required Lead Time | Year End Deadline |
|---|---|---|
| $0 - $25K (No DISO in place) | 1 to 2 months | 30 Jan, 2010 |
| $0 - $25K (With DISO in place) | 1 month | 28 Feb, 2010 |
| $25K - $400K | 2 to 3 months | 15 Jan, 2010 |
| $400K - $2M | 4 to 5 months | 15 Nov, 2009 |
